This finger print matching program uses a filter based algorithm that uses a bank of Gabor filters to capture both the local and global details in fingerprints as a compact fixed length FingerCode. This technology uses the Euclidean distance between two corresponding FingerCodes and so is faster. This system is much better than the conventional and widely used minutiae-based representation.
